Ideas for the server.

Hello everyone,

We as Pixelmon staff love to have the community involved in aspects of the server and love hearing your feedback. So I'm making this topic so we can hear what you guys would like to see on the server or any ideas the could make it more enjoyable for everyone.

Remember we have no control over adding new things to the mod such as Pokemon. But we could add new plugins, Mini-games, or just anything you guys can think of. Please post and share actual ideas and not argue or call others ideas in this topic stupid or insult them in anyway.

I think one of my favorite things about the Pokemon games is the journey. Every game has it's own distinct region to explore. However, it's much more linear in the Pokemon games taking the routes from town to town compared to Minecraft's expansive and open nature.

With the map reset on the horizon there is an opportunity to make the whole Oasis Pixelmon experience more cohesive for those that really value the Pokemon gameplay, specifically that of a Pokemon trainer. I'm talking about building towns and gyms connected with routes. While it need not be a totally pre-planned region from the start, after things start to settle in it might be worth it to do some planning and see what the new terrain has to offer. And it doesn't have to be brick roads lined with fence posts cutting through the wilderness. Maybe what I'm trying to say is more a sense of connection between locations so players can have more than grinding pokemon in random locations and then warping to the next gym when they're ready to fight. Some sort of road map or signs that encourage directed exploration, using pokemon to surf or fly, other means of traversing the world rather than warping all around.

I kinda like that idea. But I think there should still be a massive part of the map where people can build and all that.

Maybe along the path the biomes could change after every "town" so you have a chance to catch/fight all the different kinds of pokemon.

I was thinking of the 8 main gyms having the town/city they are based on in the real game. For example  the water gym would be in the cerulean city, rock would be in pewter, flying would be in violet city and so on. Would be a pretty fun build project too :3.

I saw this post a long time ago by someone and thought it was the best idea ever. So the idea is that everytime it rains you have like a sign or something that you can click and it turns it off. You could have to pay for it or something but that idea was a great one.

On behalf of the staff, I would like to reply saying that the rest of the staff and I have in fact been talking about having towns for the gyms. They will be implemented after the pixelmon update.

On the topic of signs that stop rain, it would not only be very hard to set up but it would also be problematic with the pixelmon mod. Unfortunately, it is not something that we can do.
