The ISS also boosted it's orbit recently!

Since orbits will eventually decay and collide with earth, every once in a while satellites have to reboost if they want to stay in the same orbit.

Pluto has best name tho

They do a boost with every resupply mission i think, but the iss is pretty low in the atmosphere as is so its orbit decays much faster than most satellites. also, new picture of pluto

also for those who are upset about pluto being reclassified as a dwarf planet, well you really shouldn't. What they really mean is that its not done forming yet. its orbit passes through the outer asteroid belt called the kuiper belt so there is a lot of potential for growth. unlike earth or jupiter who are all alone in their orbits with almost zero chance of growth. a dwarf planet is upgraded to a regular planet after it "clears room" for itself


also pluto isn't the only dwarf planet out there, its not even the biggest, Eris squeezed by with that one
