Why we went down for 4+ hours yesterday!

Last night something real bad happened with Mojang and the server .jar file that we use for Pixelmon. To put it simply, the jar file broke itself without warning, causing us to crash hard and lock up the server for almost 5 hours last night. However, we were not the only server affected last night. Thousands of other MCPC+ and Spigot-based servers (including our sister server Oasis SMP) were affected with this same issue.

I want to personally thank MrZeldaOoTFan for helping me understand why we kept crashing last night, as well as giving me the links to the 1.7.2 Spigot hotfix which we used on SMP. I also want to thank the folks on the Pixelmon Development team, as they were able to point myself and many other Pixelmon server owners to a link to an MCPC+ (bukkitforge) 1.6.4 hotfix. Last night, that hotfix was installed and since then everything has been running pretty smoothly. Again, this was something out of my control and I apologize for last night's unexpected downtime.

However, I will say that I took the opportunity last night to do a complete server backup. This includes our map, our plugins, the player data, and everybody's Pixelmon teams. Nothing was lost.
