Held Items in Tournaments

I first want to say that this is not but hurt or whatever, incase it reads that way.

I think it would be more fair if held items are not allowed in tournaments. I have to give an example to explain why, thus the reason I said this isn't but hurt. I had a battle with Alex_Wetter and I defeated his team, then we had a rematch, this time he was using a choice scarf on his jynx. With that choice scarf, he put everything in my team to sleep with Lovely Kiss. I feal that this might happen in a tournament in the future (not just with Alex, I mean anyone could do it), and make the out come very unfair. Again, this is not but hurt, but a honest suggestion. I suggest the only held items allowed in tournaments be xp shares and lucky eggs, since those do not effect the outcome of the fight in any way.
