Applying for Staff Idea

Now before I say this I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I was browsing the applications for staff and there are people that have been on the server for like a week posting they want to be a staff member.  Good for them but I was wondering if their is an option to post something under apply for staff that you must be a member of the forums for at least a month.  This will benefit the staff mostly because then they don't have to waste their time writing replies to people that aren't qualified for staff.  Once again I wasn't trying to offend anyone that's why I posted this under the suggestions.

to tell you the truth i really agree man because if we don't have people that have experience we don't really have a staff at all and if we dont have a staff at all there is no server. so pika thinks it's good what about you?

Ya, I think you should have to at least be a professor or donator to apply for staff.

So, the thing is that not everybody is going to go for some high-up rank before becoming staff. For an example, I was only a trusted (Pokefan equivalent) on our SMP server before this server started up, and now I'm an administrator here. The point is that while playtime factors in to whether or not you earn the staff rank, the main deciding factor is how well we think you'd do at the job. People of all ranks can apply, and there are pokefans and pokemaniacs who would be a better fit for the position than a professor or donator.

In my opinion, i think the time and consideration you spend on the server is more important. I'm not saying like someone who's been playing on the server for like 1 year but is never active in chat or teamspeak should be in staff position, just how much you deserve it really matters.
